Job Description

Software Developer - Senior (Maximo Developer) – Supply Ontario. Hybrid role at Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto, Ontario. Overview Senior software developer with 10+ years experience in Maximo application configuration & development, 5+ years large Maximo implementations, migrations, testing, upgrade, and integration with SAP, Salesforce, GIS.

Supports the EWMS Program and vendor teams as core Maximo developer. Key Responsibilities Develop, configure, upgrade, test, implement, release, and document Maximo application components. Create IBM BIRT reports and Cognos dashboards within Maximo.

Design and configure Maximo and interfaces to meet city requirements. Collaborate with end‑users, business analysts, systems analysts, and PMs to determine features and solution designs. Work with Maximo technical staff to launch new features.

Develop thoroughly tested code and conduct quality assurance on all new configurations. Collaborate effectively with other technology teams and architects to solve complex problems. Conduct unit testing in DEV and promote code to SIT/QA for UAT.

Prepare test plans, test cases, scenarios, and result documents. Required Qualifications At least 10 years experience in Maximo application configuration & development. 5+ years experience on large Maximo implementations, migrations, testing, and upgrades. Experience with Maximo Business Objects, Web Beans (Java) and automation scripts (JavaScript/Python).

Experience building integrations with SAP, Salesforce, GIS, etc. using REST/GraphQL APIs and databases. Experience with version control systems (Git). Comfortable with Visual / Eclipse IDEs.

Experience building Maximo applications, workflows, BIRT reports, work centers, queues, PL/SQL. Knowledge of Maximo Spatial configuration & ArcGIS. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and self‑starter skills.

Municipal government experience is a plus. Deliverables Configure or develop Maximo system per city requirements. Conduct unit testing and promote code to QA/UAT.

Prepare test documentation and reports for management. Track defects, analyze results, and report to stakeholders. Define dependencies and manage project timelines.

Provide technical guidance on data migration and legacy conversion. Assess new technology trends and recommend implementations. Engagement Details Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week (minimum 2 days in person at Metro Hall).

Hours: 7.25 per day, 5 days per week. Contract / Consulting, 12‑month term with potential extensions. Estimated start date: February 2, 2026; end date: February 1, 2027.
