Join us!Role ResponsibilitiesHelp power Government's enterprise ERP - turn business needs into stable, secure, and smarter 1GX solutions!Join the 1GX Centre of Excellence (CoE) and play a key role in strengthening the Government of Alberta's enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform that supports critical functions including human capital, supply chain, financial, and treasury management.The Business Analyst provides analysis and project leadership to support 1GX operations and the 1GX production environment.
With specialized expertise in HCM/Payroll, Finance, or Supply Chain Management (SCM), you will partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, enable system improvements, and support scheduled upgrades.You'll work closely with the system integrator (Accenture) to review and guide system changes, resolve production issues, and deliver cross-government initiatives from initiation through implementation, ensuring outcomes are practical, compliant, and user-focused.### ResponsibilitiesSome of the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Release & Enhancement Delivery-* Lead analysis, design, testing, and implementation for new releases and features.* Translate needs into clear requirements and detailed solution specifications.* Support UAT readiness, test planning, and quality assurance activities.Change Control & Governance-* Review, assess, and control system changes for alignment to standards and plans.* Validate proposed solutions to ensure fit, effectiveness, and compliance.* Identify opportunities to reduce customization and maximize 1GX capabilities.Production Support & Issue Resolution-* Triage and investigate escalated incidents, issues, and operational questions.* Coordinate resolution with Accenture and stakeholders; provide timely updates.* Complete impact analysis using 1GX reporting and analytics tools.Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization-* Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in processes and system use.* Recommend changes that improve efficiency, control, and user experience.* Support business cases, analysis, and adoption of new features and tools.Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption-* Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and working sessions to confirm requirements.* Provide guidance on integration impacts across 1GX modules and services.* Support change readiness, user adoption, and consistent practices across teams.Project Leadership & Delivery Management-* Plan deliverables, schedules, risks, and dependencies from start to implementation.* Monitor progress, report status, and manage change requests.* Mentor junior analysts and contribute to committees/working groups as needed.Role Responsibilities Continued.To Be Successful In This Position, You Will Demonstrate* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.* Proven ability to translate complex needs into actionable requirements.* Highly organized, proactive, and effective with competing priorities and deadlines.* Sound judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and comfort in ambiguity.* Team-oriented mindset with experience supporting enterprise systems or ERP environments.Future-Focused Skills MatterAs the Government of Alberta modernizes its digital ecosystem, familiarity with emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly important. Engages others and encourages debate and idea generation to solve problems while addressing risks### Qualifications### Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, or an equivalent field.* Minimum 2 years of experience working with SAP, ECC or S/4HANA in Source-to-Contract or Procure-to-Pay modules.* Strong functional knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes.* Experience in SAP Finance (FI), including understanding financial postings, invoice processing, and integration points with procurement and supply chain.* Experience with SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, OpenText, and other procurement SaaS applications.* Proven expertise working with complex stakeholders and vendors, including leading requirement-gathering sessions and evaluating solution feasibility.* Solid understanding of public sector procurement practices and frameworks.* Hands-on experience with Procure-to-Pay, Sourcing, and Supplier Management processes in SAP.* Demonstrated experience in IT testing and validation, particularly for Ariba and Fieldglass updates.* Experience with SAP BTP integration, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and analytics.* Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Equivalencies: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:* 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or* 1 year of experience for 1 year of educationAssets* SAP Certification in P2P S/4 HANA, Ariba or Fieldglass is a strong asset.* Experience in project management principles, methodologies, #J-18808-Ljbffr
