Pharmaceutical Engineer Overview An established and growing pharmaceutical services organisation is seeking a Pharmaceutical Engineer to support the development, validation and optimisation of manufacturing and facility systems within a regulated GMP environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across commercial and clinical activities while working within a multidisciplinary, quality‑driven setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production systems, equipment and utilities meet both operational needs and stringent regulatory requirements.
The position is well suited to an engineer who is methodical, motivated and keen to deepen their expertise within the pharmaceutical industry. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the validation of manufacturing processes for commercial pharmaceutical products. Develop, monitor and maintain production tools, utilities and engineering systems .
Produce and update engineering drawings and layouts using CAD software. Execute and document equipment qualification and validation activities , in line with GMP expectations. Support the optimisation and ongoing maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Collaborate closely with production, quality and technical teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate Profile The organisation operates to demanding technical, regulatory and ethical standards. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of organisation, attention to detail and professional rigour.
Essential requirements include: Degree in Mechanical Engineering with pharmaceutical industry experience, or Chemical Engineering with strong mechanical knowledge. Practical understanding of HVAC systems within regulated manufacturing environments. Strong proficiency in CAD software , particularly AutoCAD.
Proven experience in equipment validation and qualification . Familiarity with pharmaceutical production systems and GMP requirements. Working knowledge of quality assurance procedures and regulatory expectations within the pharmaceutical sector.
