Maintenance Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Title: Working Maintenance Manager Location: National Manufacturing & Fabrications, LLC dba: JM Hutton & Company Department: Maintenance / Operations Position Summary The Working Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment and systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities to ensure efficient operations, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform and supervise routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, machinery, and building systems Lead, train, and support maintenance staff while working alongside them on daily tasks Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement effective solutions Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests to ensure timely completion Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors as needed Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades Assist in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning for maintenance operations Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or industrial systems Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently Basic knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, and staff members Preferred Qualifications Technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, engineering, or a related field Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) Background in manufacturing, facilities management, or industrial environments Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and working in various environmental conditions Work Schedule Full-time, with potential for on-call or after-hours work as needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience (starting at $65,000 annually) Health, dental, vision insurance Retirement plan / 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Accident, STD, LTD, Critical Illness insurance Equal Opportunity Statement JM Hutton & Company is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
