Job Description Are you ready to make a real impact? As a Junior Industrial Engineer , you'll play a key role in transforming how we build, repair, and deliver world‑class vessels. This is your opportunity to design smarter processes, improve tools and workstations, and help drive efficiency across every stage of ship construction.

In this role you will not just follow instructions—you’ll lead improvements, tackling complex challenges independently, applying scientific methods to analyze issues, uncover root causes, test new ideas, and turn successful solutions into standard practice. Responsibilities Actively manage proactive scope of work, which could include developing standards, performance metrics, capacity analysis, overall equipment effectiveness, material flow, visual management, industry benchmarking, research and development, and/or project planning.

Author processes and procedures documenting how to stabilize and control processes in ship design, repair, and construction. Identify and action opportunities for Continuous Improvement within Industrial Engineering scope of work. Identify and manage mitigation plans for risks associated with Industrial Engineering activities and initiatives.

Lead improvement, standardization, and/or mitigation plans and projects, including creative technical problem solving, seeking guidance from technical subject matter experts, and effective stakeholder management. Utilize leading change principles to effectively engage stakeholders and institutionalize change. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (B.

Eng.) or equivalent. 0-5 years’ experience improving processes in an industrial or project environment. Lean/Six Sigma or improvement‑methodology training (or willingness to obtain). Familiarity with project management and industry standards (ASME, IEEE, ASTM).

Ability to read blueprints, work with 3D models, and create technical documents. Strong analytical, data, and problem‑solving abilities. Able to make risk‑based decisions and define project scope.

Strong communicator with the ability to work across teams and levels. Comfortable sharing technical information and leading discussions. Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience facilitating workshops or updates. The position requires full‑time, in‑office presence. Successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
