Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kolkata. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to edit raw footage into polished video content for digital campaigns, social media, websites, and other platforms.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling footage, trimming and sequencing clips, adding sound, music, and basic effects, and ensuring videos align with brand guidelines and project objectives. The role also involves basic color correction, collaborating on motion graphics and visual elements, and exporting files in appropriate formats and resolutions. The Video Editor will participate in brainstorming sessions, maintain an organized media library, and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications Strong video production and video editing skills, with experience working from brief to final output. Proficiency in video color grading, with an understanding of visual tone, exposure, and consistency across footage. Ability to create or collaborate on motion graphics and graphics to enhance video storytelling and branding.
Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing tools (e.G., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve; After Effects or similar for motion graphics). Good sense of storytelling, pacing, sound design, and visual composition for different digital platforms. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and receive feedback constructively. Relevant education or training in film, media, communication, or a related field is preferred; a portfolio or showreeldemonstrating previous video work is required.
