Job Description
People Inc. is hiring an Infrastructure Engineering Intern to partner with the application development teams responsible for the publishing and shared services framework that powers the company’s websites. Responsibilities Partner with application development teams responsible for publishing and shared services framework. Orchestrate infrastructure deployments in at least one cloud vendor, AWS or GCP.
Fine‑tune a delivery‑focused development culture that champions collaboration, innovative thinking, and technical excellence while maintaining a foundation of work/life balance. Shape processes and define standards for infrastructure and CI/CD. Test functionality, compatibility, and integration of web applications.
Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts such as test data, data validation harness scripts, and automated scripts. Debug failures in remote environments and support troubleshooting. Participate in agile sprint planning and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, upbeat environment.
Qualifications Experience navigating a variety of technical environments. Hands‑on Object Oriented Programming knowledge, preferably in Core Java (8+), JavaScript, or Python. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or AWS ECS orchestrations.
Strong knowledge of modern automated testing tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright. Good understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker. Hands‑on Jenkins Pipeline scripting and knowledge of the ELK stack.
Understanding of Terraform and Helm. Experience with source code systems like Bitbucket or equivalent and version control tools such as Git. Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and debugging skills across remote execution. Highly proficient in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to deliver and manage deadlines in an agile development environment. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
