Role Overview - Quality Engineer Work Transfers Team Based at the Wolverhampton Site Starting from ยฃ26.00/hour PAYE or ยฃ34.56/hour Umbrella Standard Working Hours (Days) About Safran Morson is proud to collaborate with Safran to recruit a Quality Engineer to support their programmes at the Wolverhampton site. Safran Electronics & Defence provides onboard intelligence and actuation solutions, enabling customers to observe, decide and guide across land, sea, air and space in both civil and defence sectors. Key Responsibilities Implement quality methodologies to evaluate and control systems in compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

Utilise APQP and PPAP tools to support product development, including: Supporting Product and Process Risk Analysis tools (PFMEA). Assessing process flow charts and process plans. Developing Control Plans for prototype builds and full-rate production.

Evaluating Measurement Systems (MSA). Conducting Process Capability Studies (Pro-Cert / SPC). Compiling measurement reports, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP submissions.

Providing quality deliverables for Work Transfer Gate reviews. Reviewing manufacturing processes (MPR). Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

Certification in Quality Engineering (e.g. CQE) or relevant quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001 auditor).

Proven experience in quality engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance within manufacturing environments. Direct experience managing work transfer projects, demonstrating success in maintaining or enhancing quality standards during transitions. Desirable Experience Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, with a proven track record of driving quality and efficiency improvements.

Familiarity with international quality standards and capability to manage quality across diverse geographical and regulatory environments. Proficiency in quality-related software tools and advanced data analysis skills. Strong project management skills, with experience leading quality projects across cross-functional teams.
