About the Role This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Environment, Western Canada, and is responsible for optimizing environmental and public affairs management practices across the West Coast market areas, including Greater Vancouver, mainland BC, Vancouver Island, Seattle, and other areas as assigned. The manager provides technical and strategic guidance to all product lines—Aggregates, Concrete Readymix, Pipe, Precast, Asphalt, and Construction—to ensure compliance with environmental, legal, and company (Amrize) requirements.

The position is a key player in advancing environmental programs, permitting, and stakeholder engagement within the building and construction materials sector. Key Responsibilities Support operations in achieving and maintaining compliance with all federal, provincial, regional, and local environmental laws, internal requirements, and industry standards to mitigate legal and financial risk. Represent Amrize in regulatory and legal developments, influencing changes that impact the business.

Ensure environmental documentation (permits, licenses) for new and existing operations is prepared, approved, and maintained to secure continuous operational licenses. Oversee environmental liabilities and issues across Amrize properties to ensure proper identification, management, and reporting, facilitating proactive risk management. Develop and implement strong community relations, public affairs programs, and stakeholder engagement to enhance Amrize’s reputation and sustainability advocacy.

Advise Senior Management and the Sr. Environmental Manager of key changes in regulatory and legal requirements, industry standards, or codes of practice. Monitor all federal, provincial, and municipal legal requirements, assist management in advocating for Amrize’s interests.

Develop, implement, and deliver environmental training programs for operations. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety. Qualifications and Experience Minimum technical diploma or university degree; +10 years of equivalent qualified experience.

Preferred field of study: Earth Sciences, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related discipline. 5+ years of direct experience as a Project Manager in environmental management of multiple projects, coordinating internal experts and external consultants. Preference for experience permitting mining projects in BC. Qualified Environmental Professional (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Ag, or R.P.

Bio). Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience in Environmental Compliance software is an asset. Excellent project management, planning, and communication skills.

Experience delivering sustainability strategies and energy management programs. Experience managing environmental disciplines (air quality, surface and groundwater quality, soils, vegetation, fish and fish habitat, contaminated sites, archaeology). Ability to work with stakeholders, Indigenous groups, Technical Advisory Group, and Community Members.

Experience in acquiring environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from regulatory agencies. Experience with contaminated site investigation and remediation with knowledge of BC regulations and policies. Knowledge of safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Travel: up to 25% overnight travel, depending on job demands. Benefits Estimated wage range: $125,000 – $140,000 CAD annually. Bonus opportunity up to 24% of base salary.
