Overview The Senior Manager, Communications will lead HUB’s external and internal communications strategy in Canada. This role is responsible for shaping HUB’s public reputation through media relations, executive positioning, and thought leadership, while also strengthening internal engagement through strategic and relevant employee communications. This position reports to the Director of Corporate Communications.

Responsibilities Serve as a member of HUB’s Corporate Communications team—protecting and promoting HUB’s brand reputation internally and externally across Canada. Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies, including securing interviews, managing story opportunities, and placing leadership‑authored content. Build and maintain relationships with key national, regional, and trade media; collaborate with external PR agencies or consultants when appropriate.

Anticipate and address potential public relations opportunities or issues, advising Canadian leadership and communications partners on appropriate strategies. Lead the creation and editing of a wide range of communications materials for internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with HUB’s brand voice and business goals. Partner closely with the President of Canada, Canadian leadership team, and internal subject matter experts to advance HUB’s thought leadership and reputation.

Collaborate with regional leads to support internal communications initiatives that drive employee engagement and understanding of HUB’s strategy, values, and business priorities (e.g., executive messaging, internal announcements, town halls, intranet content). Lead development, translation, and distribution of monthly internal communications to Canada employees. Oversee development and maintenance of HUB Canada media materials, including media kits, talking points, presentations, and digital/visual assets.

Monitor, analyze, and report on media coverage and PR performance; share insights and recommendations to strengthen communication impact. Collaborate across the Corporate Communications and Marketing teams to align messaging, campaigns, and content across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. 8–10 years of progressive experience in communications—preferably in a corporate or agency workplace—with exposure to both internal and external communications.

Proven track record in developing and executing media relations strategies and producing strong press and publicity materials. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Knowledge of media monitoring, analytics, and database tools.
