As the owner of the cost information, the successful candidate will maintain, manage, and communicate the information with all stakeholders in order to track cost as programs develop.

Support the business opportunities for new engines in collaboration with the Advanced Engineering group. Evaluate with the Operations, Finance, Supply Chain and Engineering groups the information required and the updates of engine cost through the different phases of life from design and development to production. The position is based at our location, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on‑site.

What will your day-to-day look like? Provide engine cost estimates for proposals, financial investment audits and certification phases. Support program development by providing cost updates on ongoing design work and upcoming cost impacts.

Explore and recommend the most effective cost alternatives. Perform analyses to validate assumptions at the time of proposal and manage cost during engine development. Establish and communicate cost targets for engine modules to the Engineering and Supply Chain teams.

Track cost evolution relative to targets and highlight upcoming and forecasted gaps. Work with Engineering to identify alternative design solutions, when applicable, to increase product margins. Create an innovative environment to ensure best practices are applied.

Identify cost reduction opportunities based on engine components and assembly. Maintain cost models by part family to identify gaps and opportunities between current costs and should‑cost targets. What do you need to be successful?

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Finance or Supply Chain Management. Between 7 and 10 years of experience in a similar role. Good understanding of engine mechanics.

Financial skills. Understanding of manufacturing and machining processes. Familiarity with a design tool.

This position is part of a French‑speaking work environment; however, it requires a very good command of English to read and understand documentation and technical terms on a daily basis, and to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
