Senior Design Engineer

Responsibilities Work with the team lead to deliver the Primary engineering design by adhering to the process and the Business strategy. Prepare technical specifications of Primary Equipment, design layouts, civil guide drawings, loading calculations, and Design Intent Documents. Review and comment on equipment suppliers’ offers.

Monitor engineering delivery progress as per the engineering programme of the project, escalating issues to the team leader as required. Demonstrate collaboration, communication, ownership, and accountability to positively contribute to the team. Qualifications Extensive design experience (7–9 years) within the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry, preferably with experience in the UK market.

Degree in Electrical Engineering. Good knowledge of layout and Primary Equipment for substation projects up to 400kV. Fully conversant with the latest Transmission and Distribution standards and technologies.

Fully conversant with Health & Safety standards (including CDM regulations) applicable to the design of High‑Voltage substations. Proficient in checking the primary design on 3D models. Benefits Opportunities to work with a global team.
