Naval Systems Engineer Apply for the Naval Systems Engineer role at MANTECH in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities Plan, design, and implement systems infrastructure, including hardware and software components Analyze, modify, test, and maintain systems to meet performance, security, and compliance standards Verify and validate systems to ensure alignment with internal and external requirements Provide expert diagnosis and solutions for system issues in existing and new environments Conduct engineering evaluations to support on-time, on-budget project completion Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and execute project plans Review policies, procedures, and performance reports to maintain regulatory and operational standards Develop schedules, budgets, specifications, and resource plans for engineering projects Select materials, tools, staff, and vendors to support system development and deployment Lead or contribute to high-visibility Navy programs through specialized technical and business expertise Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 4+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting or working directly with the U.S. Navy, either as active duty, a government civilian, or a support contractor Familiarity with U.S.
Navy technical authority, such as NAVSEA 05 Experience working with U.S. Navy Program Managers in an analyst capacity Clearance Requirements Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance. Physical Requirements The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
