Mammography Technologist

Mammography Technologist Primary City/State: Tucson, Arizona Location: 4291 N Campbell Ave, Tucson, AZ 85719 Hours: 6:30a - 3:00p Monday‑Friday (No weekends, no Call) Job Summary As a Mammography Technologist you will perform high‑quality breast imaging procedures that screen for and diagnose breast cancer. You will combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care, ensuring patient comfort, proper positioning, safety, and accurate image production. Responsibilities Prepare patients, explain procedures, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging session.

Position and compress patients accurately, maintaining the highest safety standards and quality image acquisition. Verify provider orders, evaluate image quality, and prepare comprehensive documentation for timely interpretation. Perform equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot issues, and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.

Maintain a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors; adhere to all safety policies. Operate independently within department policies, ensuring ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities are upheld. Assist with workflow efficiency, including inventory monitoring and non‑interruption of services.

Minimum Qualifications National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state licensure as applicable. Advance certification in Mammography required within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
