Job Description

Behaviour Analyst (Term) Special Education and Student Services Department (Full time 1.0 FTE) OSSTF (Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation) The OCSB is currently seeking a Behaviour Analyst. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based behavioural interventions. Key Responsibilities Perform individualized functional behaviour assessments to inform student programming Collaborate with school teams and families to co‑develop, implement, and evaluate effective Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and ensure alignment with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Collect, analyse, and interpret data on student behaviour to inform intervention adjustments and progress monitoring Provide consultation and model/coach school staff on effective ABA instructional methods and BSPs Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation support to students and staff using safe strategies Engage parents/guardians to gather information and share assessment results and recommendations Develop and deliver targeted training workshops on ABA methods, crisis prevention, and interdisciplinary practices Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on research and practices Maintain comprehensive record‑keeping for all student‑related activities Participate in departmental meetings, projects, and committee initiatives as appropriate Required Qualifications Registered as an independently practicing Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario Master’s level degree in Education, Psychology, or ABA Completion of post‑graduate studies in Autism, Behavioural Science or Psychology Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis Demonstrated excellence in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis Knowledge of elementary and secondary education in Ontario and Ministry policies (e.g., PPM 140) Exceptional collaborative, communication, data analysis, and report‑writing skills Strong public speaking and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and sensitivity Familiarity with software programs including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms) A valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle Anticipated start date is August 26 2026 with an anticipated end date of July 9 2027.

This is a full‑time temporary position with an annual salary range of $96,013 – $112,815.
