Job Description
The Commercial Director, UK & Ireland is a strategic leader, responsible for driving sales growth, maximizing customer satisfaction, and meeting revenue targets within the UK and Ireland region. This role oversees a team that includes sales team, technical support, training, inside sales, account management, ensuring all functions work cohesively to support business objectives. The Commercial Director is hands-on, maintaining strong relationships with key customers, identifying growth opportunities, and adapting strategies to meet the specific needs of the UK and Ireland markets.
Responsibilities: Regional Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy tailored to the UK and Ireland, with a strong emphasis on building and nurturing partnerships with installers and major installation companies. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the regional sales, technical support, and sales admin teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and a focus on customer satisfaction. Business Development with Installers and large distribution channels: Establish and cultivate relationships with defined customers, identifying partnership opportunities that drive both volume and loyalty.
Operational Planning: Prepare and present a comprehensive business plan to the executive team, outlining strategies for market growth, installer engagement, and revenue targets in the region. Sales and Growth Objectives: Drive sales performance to meet or exceed regional targets, with a focus on expanding market share and building long-term customer loyalty. Key Account Management: Strengthen relationships with top key accounts firms and channel partners, ensuring continuous engagement and satisfaction through direct interactions and support.
Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with key installation partners, understanding their needs to develop tailored sales solutions and ensure effective post-sale support. Market Analysis and Adaptation: Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors, particularly within the installation sector, adapting strategies to maintain competitive advantages VS the competition. Pricing and Policy Development: Set competitive pricing, discount structures, and terms specifically for high-profile installation companies and channel partners to drive regional growth.
Requirements: Experience in Installation Sales: Strong track record of working with installation companies, major installers, and channel partners, preferably in the technical solutions or security systems sector. Team Leadership: Proven experience managing multi-functional teams, including sales, technical support, inside sales, and administrative functions, fostering collaboration and accountability. Deep Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the installation industry in the UK and Ireland, including key players, market trends, and customer needs within the region.
Strategic Sales Mindset: Ability to develop data-driven, strategic sales plans, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying new business opportunities. Technical Sales Expertise: Background in selling complex technical solutions to installers and large accounts, with demonstrated success in channel management. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of building rapport and negotiating with decision-makers in the installation sector.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a proven capacity to manage complex responsibilities and multi-disciplinary teams. Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the UK, Ireland, and occasionally to the company HQ.
