Job Description

Job Description-Content Specialist Experience- 4-6 Years (Agency experience mandatory) Location- Delhi NCR (Faridabad / Noida preferred) Function- Content & Social Media Shift Timing- 10 AM to 7 PM Reports To- Account Director Who We're Looking For If you've ever rewritten a brand's copy in your head while scrolling, clocked a trend before it peaked, or felt genuine frustration at content that's trying too hard and saying nothing, you might be who we're looking for. We're hiring a Content Specialist at Damco Digital. What we actually need is someone with taste.

Someone who can tell good content from bad content instantly, and more importantly, knows why. You understand that the best content isn't the loudest or the most produced. It's the most relevant.

It knows its audience. It understands the business. It exists to earn attention and/or to be taken action upon.

Your strongest muscle is short-form. You write social copy and ad creative copy that people stop for: hooks that pull, captions that land, one-liners that stick. But you're not one-dimensional.

You can shift into website copy, long-form blog writing, and thought leadership when the brief calls for it. Range is your advantage. You've spent time in an agency.

You know what it means to manage multiple brands, move fast, and still care about quality. You know that some clients don't have big budgets or production teams, and instead of using that as an excuse, you figure it out. You're resourceful.

You find ways to create content that feels real and differentiated in a feed full of AI-generated noise. Speaking of AI: you use it. You use it to automate the repetitive stuff like formatting, scheduling, research summaries and first drafts of briefs.

That's exactly what it's for. It frees you up to do the work that actually requires a human: thinking, observing, getting inspired, and making something worth making. You don't wait to be told what to do.

You bring ideas. You spot the opportunity. You execute.

And then you look at how it performed and use that to make the next thing better. What You'll Do Write. In every format that matters.

Short-form social copy and ad creative copy is your bread and butter: captions, hooks, ad headlines, CTAs, one-liners. You write copy that converts and copy that connects. You also write website copy, long-form blog posts, and thought leadership pieces when required.

All of it is done with the same standard: it has to be worth reading. Know the brand, the audience, and the industry. Before you write a word, you do your homework.

You immerse yourself in the client's business: what they do, who they're selling to, what their customers care about, what their competitors are saying. You understand the industry context. That's what separates relevant content from generic content.

Create content that's human, not templated. You think about how to record and produce content that stands out, especially when budgets are limited. You find scrappy, creative ways to shoot, brief, and produce content that doesn't look like every other brand.

You have a point of view on what makes content feel real, and you protect that. Spot trends. Move fast.

Stay selective. You're watching the cultural feed every day: social, advertising, news, pop culture. You identify what's actually relevant to the brand and its audience, and you move while the moment is still alive.

You also know what to sit out. Not every trend is your brand's trend. Build campaigns from the brief to the rollout.

You take business objectives and turn them into creative concepts. From the big idea to the content calendar to the individual post, you see it through. You work with design, accounts, and leadership to execute campaigns that are coherent, on-brand, and effective.

Close the metrics loop. You track how your content performs: engagement, reach, click-throughs, conversions. Not to report numbers, but to understand what's working and why.

You use those insights to actively improve the next piece of content you make. Performance informs your creative, every time. Use AI to do more, not to think less.

You're fluent with AI tools and you use them to handle the repetitive and administrative: research, drafts, formatting, repurposing. This gives you more time to think, brainstorm, and create. You never outsource your judgment or your taste to a tool.

Must-Haves 4-6 years of experience in content writing, social media, or creative roles. Agency experience is mandatory. Demonstrable strength in short-form social copy and ad creative copy: captions, hooks, ad headlines, scripts.

Solid experience with website copy and long-form blog-style writing. You can write in both registers. A portfolio that shows range, not just volume.

We will ask to see it and we will read it. Proven ability to ideate and execute within resource and budget constraints. You figure things out.

Deep understanding of audience research. You know how to identify who you're writing for and what they care about. Active interest in content trends, advertising, and culture across categories, not just your niche.

Comfort working across multiple brands simultaneously, adapting voice and tone accordingly. Familiarity with social analytics and performance metrics, and the discipline to act on them. Strong working knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, or equivalent) used for efficiency, not as a creative substitute.

Excellent written English: tight, clear, and purposeful. What Success Looks Like At 30 days: You understand the brands you're working on, their audiences, and their industries. You've produced your first round of content and it's already on-brand.

At 90 days: Your copy is consistently strong. You're bringing ideas to the table without being asked. You're flagging opportunities: trends, topicals, campaign angles, before the team does.

At 6 months: The brands you handle have a clearer, more consistent voice on social. Content performance has improved. You're iterating based on data, not instinct alone.

The team trusts your judgment.
