Job Description - Manager, Project Controls (CAL01V2) We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Project Controls. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go‑getters. This is a full‑time position based in Calgary, Alberta.
Responsibilities Assist in the rollout of the project control system including initial configuration and contribution to training activities. Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilisation of the project control systems based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines. Review and develop data interfaces for third party project systems, as required.
Training and mentoring of project controls personnel. Identifies and implements value adding practices and supports continuous improvement. Roles out initiatives, systems, tools.
Collaborates with customer to realize project objectives. Safety – Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for the Business Systems Customer Sector Group. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Systems Customer Sector Group. Undertake project roles, as required, may include: Take ownership of the cost control function and ensure integrity of the data being processed. Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyse project costs.
Supervise any supporting roles in the project cost control and scheduling/planning area. Liaise with Client for reporting purposes. Preparation of monthly financial reports for the project.
Also prepare other financial analysis as required on an ad hoc basis. Implement financial controls including controlling authorisations of expenditure and cash flow projections. Preparation of budgets in conjunction with engineering and construction team members.
Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, particularly on cost and planning (forecasting). Management of change orders. Working with teams across the globe to achieve project objectives and meet customer expectations.
What you will bring Relevant diploma or certificates from recognized institute. Large project experience in EPCM. Strong in costing and planning.
Working knowledge of EcoSys is preferred. Position requires in‑office attendance. Education – Qualifications 5+ Years’ experience as a Project Controls Manager preferable in the engineering industry.
