Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: Communication Management: Respond promptly to daily communications via email and voicemail, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally. Policy Adherence and Ethical Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the University's mission, policies, procedures, ethical standards, compliance with data protection regulations, and pertinent legal regulations in all aspects of admission activities. University Engagement: Participate in Commencement Exercises, new student orientation, university events, committees, self-studies, and University Commencement Ceremonies.
Special Projects: Execute special projects assigned by the President or supervisor. Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, as well as FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules, Regulations, and Code of Ethics. As well as Title IX, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, as amended from time to time (βFERPAβ), the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014, as amended from time to time (βFIPAβ), the EU General Data Protection Regulation as amended from time to time (GDPR) and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations Assigned Duties: Undertake other assigned duties as required.
Position Responsibilities : Read, understand, and comply with the University's mission, the catalog, the University's policies and procedures, the Staff Handbook, and the Institutional Effectiveness process. Gather, clean, and organize qualitative and quantitative data from internal information systems and external databases. Assist in compiling data required for state/federal reporting (e.g.
IPEDS) and regional accreditors/ Conduct statistical analyses to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student success, retention, enrollment projections, graduation rates, faculty performance etc. to support evidence-based institutional decision making and planning. Develop professional statistical presentations, analytical reports, and data visualizations under supervisory guidance for disseminating findings to university administration, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with department and institutional goals. Build interactive dashboards and generate reports that translate complex datasets into digestible formats for leadership, faculty, and staff.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Accreditation, Assessment & Research, design and/or deploy institutional surveys (e.g., climate, graduating student, alumni) to measure stakeholder satisfaction. Under supervisory direction, design, implement, and manage comprehensive assessment protocols to measure student learning outcomes, program effectiveness, institutional performance indicators, and accreditation compliance metrics. Maintain centralized databases and analytical systems for institutional metrics, ensuring data integrity, security, accuracy, and compliance with privacy regulations and institutional standards.
Under supervisory direction, design comprehensive research studies; strategically plan data collection methodologies, prepare detailed analytical reports, attend strategy meetings, and ensure thorough follow-up on research findings and recommendations. Conduct longitudinal studies and cohort analyses to track student progression, retention factors, and success predictors across multiple academic programs, departments, and student populations. Prepare and review extensive analytical documentation and statistical materials required for internal and external compliance reviews with licensing bodies, accrediting organizations, and governmental entities.
Proactively identify significant data trends, analytical opportunities, and emerging patterns to propose actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Support university leadership by managing essential data processes and analytical procedures to ensure audit, compliance, and accreditation requirements (such as FERPA, SACSCOC, Title IX, GDPR, etc.) are maintained, including timely and accurate data submissions. Serve as the primary analyst for institutional research initiatives, demonstrating discretion and professionalism when managing sensitive institutional data and analytical inquiries.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors, often requiring independent analytical judgment and statistical expertise. Required Qualifications and Experience: Education: A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field from a regionally accredited institution is required. A master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, Institutional Research, or a related analytical field is highly preferred.
Experience: Required: A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible data analysis and research experience, including at least two (2) years directly supporting institutional research. Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills. Mastery of statistical software packages (SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or equivalent), database management systems (SQL, MySQL, Oracle), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Preferred: Experience conducting data analysis within a higher education environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel with advanced statistical functions), virtual collaboration platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams), and institutional databases/student information systems. Mastery of SPSS and SAS preferred.
Knowledge of CourseDog platform and Anthology. Proficiency with statistical modeling and data analysis, including descriptive and inferential statistics, predictive modeling, and forecasting techniques. Knowledge of best practices in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Knowledge of research design and sampling techniques. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain absolute confidentiality with sensitive institutional data, and effectively communicate complex statistical findings to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Highly proactive, detail-oriented, methodical, and capable of anticipating analytical needs and taking initiative to resolve complex data challenges and research questions. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present statistical findings clearly and work effectively with all levels of staff, faculty, leadership, and external research partners.
