Job Description

Role Overview The role involves supporting financial operations with a focus on handling audits, accounting processes, and accounts payable (AP) management . The candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial transactions while supporting internal and external audit requirements. The position requires a detail-oriented mindset with strong process discipline and control awareness . Key Responsibilitie s1. Accounting & Financial Reportin gMaintain books of account s in adherence to applicable accounting standards .Pass and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustment s .Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activitie s .Prepare reconciliation s (Bank, Vendor, GL, Intercompany) .Assist in financial statement preparation and schedule s . 2. Audit Support (Internal & Statutor y)Suppor t statutory, internal, and tax audi ts with required documentatio n.Prepar e audit schedules, working papers, and reconciliatio n s.Track and ensur e closure of audit observatio n s.Interface with auditors t o resolve queries efficient l y.Strengthe n internal controls and compliance process e s. 3. Accounts Payable (AP) Managem entProce ss vendor invoi ces with accuracy and adherence to polici es.Mana ge 3-way matching (PO, GRN, Invoi ce) wherever applicab le.Ensu re timely vendor payme nts and maintain payment schedul es.Perfo rm vendor reconciliation and query resolut i on.Monitor and impro ve AP ageing and payable cyc l es. 4. Compliance & Govern anceEnsure adherence to statutory compliances (GST, TDS, e t c.).Maintain accur ate documentation and audit tr a ils.Support in regulatory reporting and fil i ngs.Ensure compliance w ith internal policies and S OPs. 5. Process Improve mentsIdentify opportunities for automation and process optimiz a tion.Support implementatio n of ERP/system enhance m ents.Drive improvement s in turnaround time (TAT) and accuracy me t rics.

Key Skills & Compet enciesStrong understandi ng of accounting principles and audit pro c esses.Good exposu re to AP workflows and vendor mana g ement.Working knowled ge of GST, TDS, and statutory comp l iance.Hands-on experience with SAP pre f erred.Proficien cy in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic autom a tion).S trong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail s kills.Abili ty to manage deadlines and multitask effec t ively. Required Candidate ProfileCA Qualified with 2–4 years’ experi ence in corporate finance roles, preferably from a Big 4 consulti ng firmExpos ure to end-to-end accounting and AP cycles.Demonstrated abil ity to work in fast-paced envir o nments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
