Job Title: Business Manager – Cash Segment Location: Mumbai As Business Manager — Cash Segment, you will own one or more verticals within the cash equity business (Delivery/Intraday /IPO/ETF/Advisory). You will be responsible for revenue growth, market share, and the end-to-end customer funnel for your vertical. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role — you will identify problems, define solutions, and execute with minimal handholding.
You will report directly to the Business Head and will be expected to operate with the mindset of a P&L owner, not just an executor. Roles & Responsibilities: Business Ownership & P&L Own revenue, market share, and key business KPIs for assigned verticals within the cash segment (Delivery, Intraday, IPO, ETF, or Advisory) Track and interpret daily/weekly business metrics; flag anomalies and propose corrective actions proactively Develop vertical-specific business cases and present recommendations to the Business Head & other stakeholders Funnel Management & Growth Own the end-to-end funnel for your vertical: Account activation → Retention → Reactivation Identify funnel drop points through data; design and execute micro-interventions to improve conversion at each stage Run structured Activation, Reactivation, and Retention campaigns in collaboration with product, marketing, and tech teams Define cohort-level strategies for dormant and at-risk customer segments Insights & Competitive Intelligence Stay closely tuned to competitive landscape - pricing moves, product features, regulatory changes - and proactively flag implications Build and maintain dashboards for business and funnel KPIs; ensure data is clean, consistent, and decision-ready Generate weekly business review packs with clear narrative, not just numbers Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Tech, Marketing, Risk, and Compliance teams to drive business initiatives end-to-end Lead or co-lead new product / feature launches relevant to your vertical from ideation to post-launch tracking Coordinate with operations and customer service to resolve escalations that impact business outcomes Who you are: 7–9 years of experience in the Indian equity broking industry Prior experience at leading discount brokers Familiarity with SEBI regulations, exchange circulars, and their business implications Deep understanding of cash equity markets — Delivery, Intraday, IPO and ETF Proven track record of owning a business metric (revenue, market share, activation, retention) and moving it meaningfully Strong analytical mindset — comfortable working with large datasets, SQL/Excel-based analysis, and building business dashboards Ability to work independently — can identify a problem, structure an approach, build a hypothesis, and execute without constant direction At Angel One, our thriving culture is rooted in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
