CAD Designer Drafter

Job Description Job Description Well established technical furniture manufacturer in Western Suffolk, Long Island is seeking an experienced, motivated Draftsperson with expertise in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor and willingness to learn. Interest in technical furniture, wood working, and custom design is a strong plus. Responsibilities: Detail technical furniture designs in AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or Solidworks for design and production Prepare and produce shop drawings for the manufacture and installation of TBC products Understand our products to compile Bills of Material (BOM) as required Facilitate the completion of our projects by interacting with sales personnel to provide accurate drawings for production Skills: Minimum 4 years in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Inventor) Ideally at least 2 years CNC programming experience (MasterCam and/or Fusion) Understanding of BOMs Work independently and as part of our design / engineering team ​ Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing, technical sales, and customer service Ability to build rapport with clients Strong negotiation skills Deadline and detail-oriented Company Description TBC designs, manufactures, and installs technical furniture systems.
