Job Description Job Title: Insurance ICFR / SOX Transformation Manager Location: Toronto, Canada/ Montreal, Canada Work Model: Remote (EST Time Zone) Duration: Contract (6 months) / Extension possible PAY RATE: Upto CAD($100/hr to 135/hr) depending upon the experience. We’re looking for an experienced ICFR / SOX Transformation Manager to support insurance clients in strengthening internal control frameworks and aligning them with SOX standards. Key Responsibilities: • Assess ICFR and NI 52-109 frameworks and drive SOX readiness • Design and enhance financial and operational controls • Develop RCMs, process documentation, and control narratives • Lead control transformation, optimization, and remediation initiatives • Partner with Finance, Actuarial, and business teams • Advise stakeholders on governance and regulatory best practices Requirements: • CPA / CA / CIA or equivalent certification • 5+ years (Manager) or 8+ years (Senior Manager) experience • Strong expertise in ICFR, SOX (404), COSO framework • Insurance domain experience (finance, audit, controls) • Experience in control design, transformation, and governance Work Flexibility: Remote role aligned to EST hours; open to full-time (40 hr/week) or part-time (min. 20 hr/week); potential for hybrid opportunity later What Success Looks Like: Strong SOX-aligned control frameworks, improved governance, successful transformation delivery, and enhanced audit readiness
