Job Description
As a Technology Analyst for PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate), you will support the infrastructure, automation, and enhancement of existing processes, delivering quality solutions and ensuring a healthy infrastructure through monitoring and reporting. Responsibilities Manage Microsoft Azure, M365, Intune, and Entra ID, ensuring alignment with best practices, security and compliance standards, and overall platform health. Apply strong foundational knowledge of server infrastructure and networking to design, troubleshoot, and improve cloud-integrated solutions across Azure, M365, and hybrid environments.
Analyze complex technical issues, evaluate options and impacts, and recommend well‑reasoned solutions aligned with business and platform standards. Apply and enforce established security controls and access policies to ensure compliance and safeguard the company's data and infrastructure. Identify and leverage cloud technologies, platforms, and associated methods to solve business and technical challenges.
Stay up to date with Microsoft Cloud services and features, as well as emerging technologies and best practices. Perform advanced performance analysis, troubleshooting, and architecture design to monitor and improve the performance and availability of cloud platforms. Support, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve integrated solutions to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.
Remediate escalations from customers, vendors, and other internal technology teams. Act as technical lead on large or complex projects implementing new services. Qualifications Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline.
Microsoft certifications in Azure and M365 are an asset. At least 6 years of progressive experience in a related field. Understanding of modern cybersecurity frameworks and their application in enterprise environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions across cloud and core infrastructure domains, including networking, identity, and hybrid environments. Proven experience in successfully contributing to and delivering cloud infrastructure projects, including implementing new technologies and solutions. Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities, with a proven ability to manage competing demands and consistently prioritize tasks effectively.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and work within constraints while maintaining a high standard of work. Passionate about challenges and problem‑solving, with a strong desire to learn and adopt new technologies and solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling the clear and concise conveyance of complex ideas and technical material to various audiences.
