Key Account Manager – Retail (Maternity Cover - 9 months' contract) Beauty Works retails luxury hair solutions, including ready to wear clip-ins, semi-permanent professional extensions and exclusive collaborations. Our hair extensions, aftercare products and electrical stylers have earned recognition amongst the beauty press and up and down the red carpet. Beauty Works operates internationally to both to salon professional and directly to consumers and is owned by a Beauty Industry Group based in Salt Lake City and has the largest share of the hair extensions market in the world.

Job Summary The Key Account Manager – Retail will support the Senior Key Account Manager in the day-to-day management of Beauty Works’ key retail partners during a 9-month maternity cover period. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their commercial retail experience within a fast-paced beauty environment, supporting account growth, retailer relationships, and operational delivery across the UK and selected international accounts. Working closely with internal teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, NPD and Operations, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth account management, strong retailer execution, and excellent customer service.

Role Outline & Responsibilities Support the Senior Key Account Manager in the management of key retail accounts such as Look Fantastic, Boots and other key retail partners. Assist with the coordination and execution of account plans, promotional activity, and product launches. Build positive working relationships with retail partners through regular communication and support.

Help manage retailer administration, including raising POs, updating forecasts, tracking sales performance, and maintaining accurate account records. Support range reviews and new product launches by coordinating information across internal departments. Work closely with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure retail campaigns and launches are delivered on time.

Monitor stock levels, order flow, and replenishment, liaising with Supply Chain to help minimise stock issues. Analyse sales data and prepare reports to support account reviews and business updates. Ensure online and in-store product listings are accurate and aligned with Beauty Works brand standards.

Support the coordination of retailer meetings, presentations, and commercial documents. Identify opportunities to improve processes, retailer performance, and customer experience. Provide general day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Senior Key Account Manager and wider sales team.

Maintain clear communication and organised documentation throughout the maternity cover period. Key Skills Previous experience in an Account Executive, Junior Account Manager, Sales Support, or retail/commercial support role preferred. Interest in beauty, retail, or premium consumer brands.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Confident communicator with good relationship-building skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.

Good numerical and analytical skills, with confidence using Excel and sales reports. Proactive and eager to learn, with a positive and collaborative approach. Able to work effectively as part of a team while supporting senior stakeholders.

Experience working with retail accounts or health & beauty retailers is beneficial but not essential.
