Job Information Job Title: Senior Platform Services Analyst & Platform Services Analyst Requisition ID: 84643 Ministry: Technology and Innovation Location: Greater Edmonton or Calgary Area (Remote) Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week Classification: Opted Out & Excluded Systems Analyst Level 2; Opted Out & Excluded Systems Analyst Level 3 Closing Date: July 8, 2026 Platform Services Analyst Responsibilities Support platform development, configuration, upgrades, and enhancements. Assist with implementing and maintaining platform services, tools, and technical documentation. Monitor platform performance and contribute to troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Support service delivery while ensuring compliance with government standards, policies, and security requirements. Participate in project initiatives, testing activities, and service improvement efforts. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and support effective technology solutions.

Contribute to agile teams and support the successful delivery of platform-related projects and services. Senior Platform Services Analyst Responsibilities Lead platform architecture, standards development, and strategic platform planning. Provide expert advice on platform capabilities, solution design, and technology recommendations.

Oversee platform upgrades, enhancements, and service improvements. Ensure platform services align with government standards, security requirements, and industry best practices. Lead complex projects and cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.

Drive operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, service optimization, and continuous improvement. Mentor analysts, provide technical leadership, and support agile team delivery. Knowledge of, experience with, and an interest in leveraging automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) are critical to enhancing service delivery, improving efficiency, and supporting innovative digital solutions. Qualifications Required for Systems Analyst 2: University graduation in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or a related field. 2 years of related experience. An alternative two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline with four (4) years of related experience.

An alternative one-year certificate with five (5) years of related experience. Required for Systems Analyst 3: University graduation in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or a related field. 4 years of related experience. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, complex projects and strategic initiatives from planning through to successful delivery.

Proven experience leading and empowering diverse teams of professionals to achieve high-performance outcomes. An alternative two-year diploma with six (6) years of related experience. An alternative one-year certificate with seven (7) years of related experience.

Required for both positions: Experience supporting a broad range of enterprise technologies and platforms. Experience supporting application infrastructure and/or software development environments. Experience facilitating changes to business processes and policies to meet evolving operational requirements.

Knowledge of Alberta Government goals, strategies, priorities, and initiatives, particularly as they relate to Technology and Innovation. Knowledge of ministry mandates, business plans, and operational objectives. Knowledge of privacy, security, and information management legislation and standards.

Proficiency with standard business productivity and collaboration software. Assets: Certification in ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, NICE inContact, or other equivalent enterprise platform technologies. Certification in SAFE, Scrum, or other Agile methodologies.

Broad understanding of enterprise technical environments and system interdependencies. Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies in a business environment. Experience developing professional presentations, training materials, and delivering effective training sessions.

Strong communication, consultation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leaders. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

Sound technical aptitude and business acumen, balancing business needs and organizational objectives. Proven ability to collaborate effectively, build strong relationships, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
