Overview Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the Site Technologies Analyst is responsible for the deployment, support, and ongoing lifecycle management of site‑based technology solutions across Extendicare and ParaMed locations and participates in a 24/7 on‑call rotation. This role supports the reliable operation of technologies deployed at physical care sites, including telephony, nurse call systems, security and camera platforms, and related integrations. Working in a highly distributed, multi‑site environment, the Analyst executes deployments, resolves complex issues, and ensures consistent implementation of approved standards. This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment. Key Responsibilities Deploy and support site technology solutions across new and existing locations Implement standard configurations for telephony, nurse call, and security systems Support site activations, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives Execute approved designs and standards in collaboration with senior infrastructure resources Provide Level2/3 support for site technologies across all locations Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telephony, nurse call, and site security systems Act as an escalation point for service desk teams Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation Coordinate system updates, patching, and routine maintenance Ensure systems remain compliant with organizational standards and security requirements Support hardware and software lifecycle planning and execution Work directly with vendors during deployments, troubleshooting, and escalations Coordinate vendor access and ensure work aligns with internal standards Communicate status, risks, and issues clearly to internal stakeholders Follow and enforce established standards for site technologies Maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures Identify recurring issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and respond to issues Work closely with Network, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to support connectivity and integrations Participate in project delivery as a technical contributor Support integration of site technologies with enterprise platforms Technology Environment Working knowledge expected; expertise in all areas is not required. Telephony & Voice Microsoft Teams Voice (Direct Routing / Operator Connect) RingCentral (RingEX, NICE / RingCX), AWS Connect, 8x8, Five9 Legacy PBX platforms (e.g., Mitel, Avaya) SIP, PRI, POTS, Centrex, and cellular technologies Nurse Call & Security Nurse Call Systems (e.g., Austco, SARA, Edwards) Camera and security platforms (e.g., Verkada) Door access control and public address systems Infrastructure Microsoft 365 / Azure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Windows Server and Linux Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, connectivity) Qualifications 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, telephony, or site technology environments Experience supporting multi‑site, distributed environments Hands‑on experience with VoIP and contemporary telephony platforms Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers Strong troubleshooting skills across integrated systems Solid understanding of telephony and networking fundamentals Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive issues to resolution Clear communicator with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Practical, solutions‑oriented mindset with a focus on root cause resolution Commitment to documentation, standards, and operational consistency Benefits Continuous mentorship, support for lifelong learning and career growth opportunities Opportunities for advancement within the organization A rewarding and meaningful work experience that enriches the lives of others Employee Family Assistance Program Robust benefits package Additional Information Compensation will be discussed during the recruiting process.
