BoomerangFX is a fast-growing healthcare technology company delivering a comprehensive practicemanagement and patient-engagement platform for aesthetic and medical clinics. We are expanding our platform to mobile with two cross-platform applications built on a shared React Native foundation: • Patient App - appointment booking, products & checkout, memberships, packages, gift cards, loyalty, and reviews. • Service Provider App - a clinic-staff companion for secure authentication, scheduling, patient records (EMR), manager dashboards, and payment visibility.

Both apps connect to our existing production REST backend and handle sensitive clinical and financial data, so engineering quality, security, and reliability are first-class concerns. Your role in a nutshell We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to help design, build, and scale our mobile applications from the ground up. You will own significant feature areas end-to-end - from architecture and API integration through to App Store / Google Play release - and set the technical standard for a growing mobile team.

This is a hands-on role with strong influence over architecture, code quality, and engineering practices. You will work in TypeScript on a modern Expo-based stack, partnering closely with backend, design (Figma), and product to ship production-ready features for real clinics and their patients. Scope of Duties Design and build cross-platform (iOS & Android) features in React Native + Expo using TypeScript, owning them from technical design through release and monitoring.

Translate Figma designs and business requirements into clean, reusable, pixel-accurate UI with smooth animations and strong accessibility. Integrate with existing REST APIs, modeling server state with TanStack Query and app state with Redux Toolkit, including robust token-based auth, refresh, and session handling. Implement secure mobile patterns: secure credential storage, biometric login (Face ID / fingerprint), protected routes, and session-timeout handling for sensitive health and financial data.

Build resilient experiences with thoughtful error handling, loading states, and offline / low-connectivity graceful degradation. Own the release pipeline - EAS Build, OTA updates, TestFlight and Google Play internal tracks - and help mature CI/CD for mobile. Establish and enforce engineering standards: code review, typing discipline, testing, linting, and a maintainable, modular architecture.

Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and contribute to a shared component library and design system across the Patient and Service Provider apps. Collaborate with backend engineers to shape API contracts, and with product/design to scope and de-risk features. Strong TypeScript skills and a solid grasp of modern React (hooks, composition, performance, render optimization). State management (Redux Toolkit or equivalent) and server-state / data-fetching libraries (TanStack Query, RTK Query, SWR, or similar). React Navigation, native modules, and the realities of building for both iOS and Android.

REST API integration, including token-based authentication, refresh flows, and secure session management. Mobile security fundamentals: secure storage, biometric auth, and handling sensitive data on device. Release process - code signing, provisioning, EAS/Fastlane or equivalent, and store submission.

Engineering fundamentals in testing, debugging, performance profiling, and writing maintainable, well-documented code. Communication & ownership - ability to own features end-to-end with minimal hand-holding. Domain Context Our apps handle protected health information and financial data for medical clinics.

What Success Looks Like: • 30 days - Onboarded to the codebase and stack; shipping small-to-medium features with confidence; contributing to code reviews. • 60 days - Owning a feature area end-to-end (e.g., scheduling, EMR, or payments visibility) across design, implementation, and release. • 90 days - Driving architectural decisions, raising the team's engineering bar, and mentoring others.
