Senior Java Developer (Edmonton)

Software Engineer Location: Hybrid – 44 King St. 9th Floor, Toronto. Contract Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension & conversion to FTE). Current vacancy: 1 position.

Schedule: 9am‑5pm Monday‑Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week. Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills Robust complex problem‑solving skills. 10+ years of full stack development experience (Java, NodeJS, SQL, NoSQL). 5+ years of cloud and containerized development experience. 5+ years Agile and SDLC experience. Cloud solution deployment experience (GCP, Azure).

Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes. Nice‑To‑Have Skills Active Directory / Entra ID integrations focusing on SSO. Experience with application security tools (Checkmarx, Snyk, Wiz).

AI agentic experience (MCPs, Agents, Skills, RAG). Desired Candidate Profile The ideal candidate can work independently with stakeholders to implement solutions from design, continually updating design. They take initiative, are strong problem solvers, strategic thinkers, and can identify solutions.

They have hands‑on experience with cloud native protection tools, strong programming and automation expertise. Candidate Review & Selection Process 30‑minute initial interview with the hiring manager (and possibly team lead) to assess skills against the candidate’s CV. 45‑minute panel interview with project team members to probe technical expertise and project experience.
