Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager for their specific location and will serve as a key leader within distribution center, responsible for all operational matters related to the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will assist in establishing operations aligned with company policies and procedures and assemble a core support team to grow and scale operations as needed. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for all functional areas of the warehouse, including supervisors, line staff, with shared responsibility with other departments for product quality, inspections, and resolution.

Responsibilities Develop and manage internal customer relationships and external customer service levels within the operation.
Collaborate and coordinate with the local GM and Human Resources to secure and sustain strong company culture and business goals. Manage warehouse KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and include them in the warehouse team’s performance development plans. Create SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Timely) goals that impact KPIs such as productivity, order fulfillment time, average retention rate, etc.
Recruit, onboard, train and empower warehouse operations leaders and team members. Align organization and define objectives to deliver on key company expectations and metrics. Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring and managing operation goals.
Partner with the Quality department to ensure that products are handled properly to provide accurate and timely delivery to our customers. Identify trends or challenges and troubleshoot within the warehouse operation. Coach, counsel, and discipline warehouse employees as needed by developing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Conduct meetings with team and attend meetings as needed. Maintain consistent communication with the General Manager to ensure transparency and effectiveness. Proactively identify, incubate, and deploy best practices across all warehouse functions.
Promote an environment for continuous improvement. Oversee the environmental health and safety of the warehouse worksites, adhering to all documented processes and procedures. Participate in the creation of documentation (e.g., SOP creation and development).
Identify and request warehouse equipment and submit to Director of Warehouse Operations. Assume direct responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse. Identify hazards and conduct training and job safety analysis yearly.
Be comfortable with technology and deliver measurable results within warehouse applications, procedures, dashboards, and KPIs. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local laws and have thorough knowledge of company policies. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities At least four to five years of progressive general warehouse experience including two years as a team lead or supervisor. Have a keen attention to detail and be able to identify areas of opportunity. Knowledge of best-in-class warehousing and distribution functions, with the ability to set goals to reach that point.
Experience working with a diverse workforce; possess the depth of experience and leadership style to effectively manage an employee base. Demonstrated ability to utilize innovative strategies to recruit and retain skilled and in-demand talent. Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

A collaborative leader who is open to new ideas and willing to apply them with curiosity and trial and error. Education and Experience High School or better. Some college or better.
