Job Description

CT Bakery is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations within our food manufacturing and storage facility. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, inventory management, warehouse operations, team leadership, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, maintain inventory accuracy, and support customer service and production objectives Please note that there will be requirement to travel to our other plants in Etobicoke, ON and Mississauga, ON based on business needs Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution Ensure the safe, efficient, and organized movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods Develop and maintain warehouse procedures that support operational efficiency and food safety requirements Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize storage utilization Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO and FEFO principles where applicable Coordinate warehouse activities to support production schedules and customer requireme Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure inventory integrity through cycle counts and physical inventory audits Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Production teams to prevent shortages or excess inventory Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and warehouse performance Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded within the ERP/WMS system Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and warehouse associates Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement Support employee training, onboarding, and cross-training initiatives Manage staffing levels to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs Food Safety, Quality & Complaince Ensure compliance with food safety programs, GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC requirements, and applicable regulatory standards Maintain warehouse conditions that support product quality and food safety Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits Support corrective and preventive actions related to warehouse operations Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity, accuracy, and service levels Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, order accuracy, labor efficiency, on-time shipping, and warehouse utilization Lead warehouse improvement initiatives and support operational excellence programs Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience within a food manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience managing warehouse teams. Experience managing inventory in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment.

Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and GFSI-recognized standards (SQF, BRC, etc.).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma. Experience managing refrigerated and frozen storage operations.

Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments Ability to walk warehouse floors regularly and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments as required. Flexibility to support operational needs outside regular business hours when necessary.
