Job Summary The Vice President & General Manager – Particulates serves as the global business leader for CECO’s Particulate Platform, accountable for overall strategy, commercial expansion, operational excellence, and financial performance. This role directs a cross‑functional organization – sales, engineering, manufacturing, and service – to deliver sustained growth and strong execution in an engineered‑to‑order environment. The VP/GM accelerates revenue and margin performance through disciplined pricing, world‑class project delivery, and continuous improvement across all operations.
This leader sets the long‑term strategic direction for the platform, driving international market expansion, product and technology innovation, and seamless integration of acquired businesses. Responsibilities Accelerate enterprise value creation by driving sustained margin expansion through strategic pricing, cost optimization, and scalable operational models. Shape the long‑range vision for the Particulates Platform, leading forecasting, budgeting, and multi‑year strategic planning to position the business for global leadership.
Define and execute a bold global growth strategy to expand CECO’s presence in particulate control solutions across established and emerging markets. Identify and penetrate high‑growth end markets, anticipating industry shifts and aligning the portfolio to evolving customer and regulatory demands. Steer portfolio strategy encompassing organic growth, next‑generation product innovation, and seamless integration of acquisitions.
Lead a high‑impact global commercial engine, guiding direct and channel sales strategies to elevate market reach, customer engagement, and competitive differentiation. Strengthen strategic customer partnerships across key industrial sectors, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, petrochemicals, metals, food processing, and power generation, to shape long‑term demand and solution roadmaps. Strengthen go‑to‑market strategies for engineered systems and aftermarket services to unlock recurring revenue and lifecycle value.
Oversee global operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, and project execution, ensuring agility, reliability, and world‑class delivery performance. Champion Lean transformation and continuous improvement, embedding operational rigor and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. Ensure flawless execution of engineered systems and large capital projects, delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Guide engineering and technology teams in advancing product innovation, application engineering, and differentiated particulate control solutions. Oversee development of advanced particulate technologies, including dust collectors, cyclones, filtration systems, and scrubbers. Ensure global regulatory alignment, proactively adapting solutions to meet evolving EPA and international emissions standards.
Build and inspire a high‑performing global organization across sales, engineering, and operations, focusing on capability building and leadership development. Develop robust succession pipelines and cultivate future leaders who can scale with the business. Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and purpose, empowering teams to execute with speed, discipline, and customer focus.
Ensure all solutions meet stringent environmental, health, and safety requirements. Position CECO as the industry’s most trusted partner for emissions control, compliance assurance, and sustainable plant performance. Champion customer success by guiding industrial operators in reducing particulate emissions, optimizing system performance, and advancing environmental stewardship.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred). 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial, engineered systems, or environmental technologies. Direct P&L responsibility, ideally within a $100M–$250M+ business unit. Strong background in industrial air pollution control/filtration.
Experience in engineered‑to‑order (ETO) or project‑based environments. Familiarity with particulate control technologies: dust collectors, baghouses, cyclones, separators, scrubbers, and filtration systems. Exposure to industries such as chemical/petrochemical, power generation, semiconductor/advanced manufacturing.
Experience in M&A integration or portfolio transformation. Demonstrated success leading global teams and complex operations. Licensing and Certifications Lean/Continuous Improvement Certification (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, Toyota Production Principles).
Travel Requirements Regular travel to local and international offices as needed. Ability to travel across borders and intercontinentally for global team meetings and project support. Work Environment The position is located at our home office in Addison, TX. The candidate must be self‑motivated, able to manage boundaries between work and personal life, and comfortable with primarily computer use and virtual communication.
