Tendering Engineer | Leeds A specialist switchgear company delivering bespoke power distribution solutions across the UK is looking for a Tendering Engineer to take ownership of the tendering and estimating process, playing a key role in securing new projects. The Role This is a technically and commercially focused position, ideal for someone with experience in LV switchgear or power distribution. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed quotations and tenders based on client specifications and drawings • Interpret technical requirements and develop compliant, cost-effective solutions • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead times • Support value engineering and propose alternative technical solutions • Work closely with design and project teams to ensure smooth handover of awarded contracts • Act as a key point of contact for clients during the tendering phase What They’re Looking For • Strong analytical and estimating skills with high attention to detail • Background in electrical engineering, ideally within LV switchgear or power distribution • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications • Good commercial awareness and cost understanding • Confident communicator able to manage clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders Ideal Candidate Profile • Experience in estimating, tendering, or proposals within an engineering environment • Technically strong but commercially aware • Organised and detail-driven • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Package & Benefits • £47,500 – £60,000 base salary + performance bonus • Company pension • Ongoing training and development • Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday • Supportive, close-knit team with strong technical expertise
