Technical Analyst

Workday business analyst Note: Looking for someone with experience in workday HCM / comp to identify workday future release features and help implement and update documentation. Also will do smaller workday enhancements *****Very temporary position until 6/30. The one key item needed is looking in the release features and identifying mandatory changes we need to implement over the next 2 years.

The technical analyst will play a key role on a major BI project. The analyst will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team, providing technical expertise necessary to clearly document business user stories and requirements, ensure those requirements are fulfilled by the technical team. The analyst will support activities related to the provision of Microsoft BI reports and underlying data structures, including custom development in BI infrastructure at the American Red Cross. o Broadly, supports the project by providing analytical insights into how business reporting needs can be satisfied through enhancements to existing or construction of new Power BI reporting solutions o Maintains enhancement request list and coordinates release planning o Discovers, elaborates and analyzes business requirements and data integration options, and delivers functional specification documentation for use by the development team o Works with technical and business staff to research and evaluate alternatives, citing evidence in support of and making recommendations to solutions architect, development team, business stakeholders and product management staff o Assists in the development and execution of testing strategies, plans and test cases o Other assignments as needed within the project scope The candidate should have experience in biomedical and/or fundraising processes and business practices, as well as expertise in SDLC and delivery of business intelligence solutions across an array of technical platforms including Microsoft Power BI, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL server.
