Growing international oil and gas company is seeking a Bilingual Tax Manager in The Woodlands. Six figures plus bonus and excellent benefits and opportunity. Must be able to speak, read and write English and Spanish fluently.

The Tax Manager will support the company’s U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance, reporting, and planning activities across a complex corporate structure that includes corporations, partnerships, and controlled foreign corporations (CFCs). Working closely with the VP of Tax, this role will assist in managing tax compliance, supporting the company’s income tax provision under ASC 740, and contributing to international tax reporting, including calculations related to GILTI, Subpart F income, and foreign tax credits. The Tax Manager will also support the VP of Tax in matters related to tax planning, entity structuring, and tax considerations associated with large-scale infrastructure and international operations, while coordinating with internal finance teams and external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations and partnerships, coordinating closely with external tax advisors. Support the preparation and review of partnership tax filings (Forms 1065 and related schedules), including analysis of partner allocations, capital accounts, and tax basis calculations. Assist with corporate income tax filings (Forms 1120 and related schedules) and related compliance requirements.

Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process under ASC 740, including preparation of supporting workpapers, deferred tax calculations, and analysis of book-to-tax differences. Assist with U.S. international tax compliance, including calculations related to GILTI, Subpart F income, and foreign tax credits, and maintain the U.S. tax basis in the stock of controlled foreign corporations (CFCs). Prepare annual U.S.

GAAP and U.S. tax fixed asset roll-forwards and perform analytical reviews and reconciliations of financial data related to tax reporting. Perform analytical review of tax-sensitive financial data to support tax filings, provision calculations, and ad hoc tax analyses. Track the progress and completion of U.S. and non-U.S. income tax returns and related filings, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines.

Coordinate with external tax service providers to support timely preparation of tax estimates, tax returns, and other tax projects. Maintain access to online state tax accounts and prepare simple state and local tax filings that can be completed electronically. Assist with gathering documentation required for transfer pricing analyses of intercompany transactions, coordinating with external advisors as needed.

Collaborate with internal accounting, finance, and legal teams to collect and organize data required for tax reporting and compliance. Support responses to tax notices and audits and maintain documentation supporting tax positions and compliance with internal controls. Support tax analysis related to project-level entities and partnership structures, including allocations, capital accounts, and tax basis tracking associated with infrastructure development projects.

Assist with tax structuring and planning for domestic and international investments, including analysis of entity structures, intercompany transactions, and cross-border operations. Support tax considerations related to large-scale capital projects, including the tax treatment of development costs, capitalization policies, and depreciation of infrastructure assets. Coordinate with internal finance and legal teams on entity formations, restructurings, and transactions, ensuring appropriate tax treatment and documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. CPA required EXPERIENCE: 5–10 years of tax experience, preferably with a Big 6 or large public accounting firm and/or a corporate tax department. Strong experience with corporate and partnership taxation, including preparation or review of Forms 1120 and 1065.

Experience supporting U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and tax provision (ASC 740) processes. Familiarity with U.S. international tax concepts, including GILTI, Subpart F income, and foreign tax credits. Familiarity with U.S.

GAAP tax reporting, and tax basis tracking. Working knowledge of legal entity structures, tax elections (e.g., Forms SS-4, 8832), and corporate compliance requirements. Proficiency in Excel and working with ERP/Accounting Systems.
