Location: 2400 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock, TX 78681 Surgical Services Manager RN Round Rock, TX ScheduleFull-time Days (No Weekends) St. Davids Round Rock Medical Center is a 200 + bed acute-care facility located north of Austin, Texas. This comprehensive medical center features the only hybrid operating room in the county , a 24-hour emergency department with a Level II trauma center , and leading-edge cardiac care through the Heart Hospital of Austin at St.
Davids Round Rock. Patients may also receive care related to rehabilitation services, womens services, cancer care, neurology, joint replacement and orthotics, and more when visiting this facility. Job Summary The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives. Job Responsibilities You will help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensure adherence to standards of care.
You will support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensure a culture of accountability nd transparency in the provision of care. You will support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, ccreditations, and designations.
You will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards. You will manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
You will facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and cross departments. You will ensure staff with appropriate clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient care needs. You will manage nursing practice and unit operations.
Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures to ensure patient and family needs are assessed and met. You will provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience. You will instill accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
Job Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support Must have min 1-2 yrs. of leadership experience in surgical services within the cute care setting BSN required Sign Additional Information Over just the OR staff, anesthesia techs, and first assists. There's a second Manager for SPD and a Manager that covers endo. Around 65 FTEs Really needs some leadership experience.
M-F rotating weekends 11 ORs (1 hybrid heart suite) Level 2 Trauma site Neuro, ortho, CV, general surgeries 2 Da Vinci robots, Meditech for software/charting No pediatrics- anyone under 14 sent to NAMC 16 procedures per day avg BSN minimum requirement Relo offered Salary max: ***k Fee: 20% of the annual salary (split per contract)
