Dutchland is a leading designer, manufacturer, and builder of precast, post-tensioned concrete water and wastewater tanks for a variety of applications. We're seeking a structural engineer to join our team and make a difference in the water / wastewater industry. This position offers a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office (Gap, PA) after an initial training period.
Objectives: Perform structural analysis and design and oversee drafting work for the production and construction of precast, post-tensioned, concrete tanks. Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks in compliance with appropriate design codes and Dutchland standard practices Oversee the preparation of Erection and Production drawings for precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks Interface with the Project Management, Production and Construction departments to produce and install tanks within established budgets and schedules Assign work to junior engineers as necessary Check work performed by junior engineers Contribute to efforts within the Engineering Department to continuously improve quality and efficiency of structural designs Contribute to efforts in the Engineering and Drafting Department to continuously improve efficiency of workflow Diligently work to obtain proficiency in analysis and design of all types of tanks produced by Dutchland Travel to job sites to inspect tanks and recommend remedial work, as needed Prepare letters and written reports, as needed Qualifications: B.S. in Civil Engineering, or equivalent Registered as a Professional Engineer in any state with the ability to become licensed in other states, as needed Able to interpret Contract Documents for environmental engineering tank projects Concrete tank design experience is a plus Willing and able to lead teams of engineers and drafters to ensure successful completion of projects Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people in the classification and are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. #J-18808-Ljbffr
