Job Description
Role Purpose Lead from the floor, energize a team, and deliver results. Store Managers balance operations, team development, and customer experience to create a high‑performing retail environment. Responsibilities Lead with presence—be the face, voice, and pace of the store.
Grow and develop a high‑performing team through coaching, feedback, and celebration. Maintain smooth operations—manage freight, zones, and priorities. Manage labor efficiently, adjusting flexibility to meet business needs while staying on budget.
Drive sales on the floor—model selling behaviors, guide associates, and ensure customer satisfaction. Create a positive, fun culture that attracts and retains employees. Adapt quickly to changes and pivot as needed.
Maintain integrity, own outcomes, and demonstrate accountability. How Success Is Measured Sales and labor results. TruRating feedback and customer satisfaction.
Store scorecard performance. Team development and retention. Operational execution and compliance.
Required Experience & Qualifications 5–10+ years of leadership experience, including management of a store or large department. Experience in retail preferred; other industries accepted. Promotion from assistant or co‑manager roles is a plus.
Ability to lead in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Multi‑tasking ability, creative thinking, and composure under pressure. Essential Job Functions Operate computers, printers, and occasionally a cash register.
Use ladders to retrieve and place stock. Stoop, kneel, bend, and twist repeatedly in stock room and on sales floor. Process email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs.
Communicate with customers by phone and in person, and with managers and coworkers. Direct associates and assist customers while moving between sales floor and stockroom. Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs and move merchandise up to 5–10 feet. Operate equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and handheld devices. Remain in a stationary, upright position for approximately 80% of the time.
