Concord, 1975 Diamond Blvd Suite E-300, Concord, CA 94520 USA Responsibilities Develop business strategies to raise our customer’s pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitability Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent customer service Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Maintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays Uphold Daiso’s standards for display presentation Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc) Manage the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage Train new employees and provide ongoing education for employees Effectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets Create employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried through Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and offboard poor‑performing staff Requirements High School Diploma/GED 1‑3+ Years of Relevant Experience Proven experience as a retail manager or in another managerial position Knowledge of retail management best practices Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Excellent organizing and leadership skills Physical Requirements Ability to travel Carry up to 40 lbs Lift up to 40 lbs Time Management Judgement/Decision Making Strong communication skills Ability to manage others Driving required Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
