As a Store Manager, you are the coach, mentor and disciplinarian for the inside front counter retail team. Leadership is the name of the game and people are the focus, whether they be customers or employees. The location is an LBM facility dealing with contractors and retail customers.

Retail, with all its joys and challenges, is the largest part of our everyday life. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday, 5 days per week, with an occasional Saturday as needed. You are You are outgoing, friendly, and a skilled communicator who thrives in a retail.

The lumber and building world interests you, and you enjoy working in a team environment. You understand that doing things the right way isn’t always the easy way, and you’re not afraid of hard work. A calming influence in the face of chaos with an ever-watchful eye on safety would describe your demeanor.

Responsibilities Store level profitability and the customer experience Primary leadership role in retail sales (customer service and counter sales) including scheduling Inventory accuracy in the store Facilitate efficient use of people horsepower to maintain a positive customer experience Ensure new employees are trained in the proper use of the daily systems and processes Work with the front counter sales staff to solve challenges related to sales order processing in the inventory and transactional computer systems Coach and mentor employees to their full potential Retail sales cash drawer integrity Merchandising retail space and branch appearance Responsible for employee evaluations at appropriate times (New Hire follow up & annual) Ensure proper safety protocol is followed by all employees and customers Qualifications Candidates for this position must have excellent people skills, be service oriented and committed to safety. Experience in the construction or building products industry preferred. Managerial experience in a retail setting is required.

Must be proficient in a Windows computer environment. Bachelor’s Degree a plus. BisTrack or WMS computer systems, or equivalent, experience a plus.
