Staff Nurse - Acute Medicine Band 5 We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Staff Nurse who is hardworking, motivated and committed to the delivery of high‑quality care to our patients. Working across the AMU and the short stay unit you will be providing care to acute medical patients in the first phase of illness.

Full‑time, part‑time and flexible working hours are available. Applicants must be able to work a variety of days and nights. Responsibilities Coordinate and provide skilled nursing care without direct supervision, in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.

Contribute to the continued development of nursing, including supervising junior nurses and support staff. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, internally and externally, to facilitate holistic, seamless care delivery for all Trust patients. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual programmes of care based on an agreed model of care and in consideration of individual need.

Organise method of care delivery within the ward/department, allocate, prioritise and delegate effectively. Manage a defined group of patients/clients, participating in all aspects of care from initial contact/admission through to discharge, including transferring from one environment to another. Qualifications Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.

Teaching qualification. Speciality‑specific qualifications. Appropriate UK professional registration.

Experience Relevant clinical post‑registration experience.
