Description Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer - Level 4 - Avionics Design Group within the Launch Vehicles business unit at the Chandler, AZ facility. The role focuses on innovative circuit design and development for space programs, working in a cutting‑edge, collaborative environment that values curiosity and pioneering spirit.

Job Responsibilities As a member of the circuit design team, you will be responsible for: Performing detailed board‑level digital and mixed‑signal circuit design. Conducting circuit analysis and simulation to verify as‑designed responses meet requirement criteria. Selecting component parts to satisfy stringent environmental and radiation requirements.

Evaluating completed designs with senior engineers and technical groups, making modifications to meet requirements. Writing design and test documentation, including analyses, specifications, user manuals, and test procedures. Supporting qualification testing by developing test procedures and reports.

Overseeing, with senior engineer oversight, component supplier design, analysis, manufacture, and test. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of digital/mixed‑signal design experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience. Capable of understanding and adhering to department design standards.

Experience working in an Agile project format, including Jira and Git environments. Experience with Cadence Schematic Capture and board layout using Allegro. Proficiency in circuit simulation (PSpice or LTSpice).

Hardware troubleshooting and software debugging experience; physical testing with lab measurement equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, etc.). Experience generating design documents, specifications, user manuals, test plans, and procedures. U.S.

Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Active Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Cadence Allegro PWB, CAM350, Matlab, VHDL, and Python.

Familiarity with microprocessor and/or FPGA circuit design. Familiarity with circuit design for military/space environments. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance preferred.

Salary and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
