In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, costâeffective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval. You will be our suppliersâ primary point of technical contact for your projects.
After the design is completed and approved, you will handâoff the project to our Ops Engineering team who will oversee the installation and commissioning of the project. Youâll support that team to ensure that the system youâve designed is successfully installed, commissioned and launched. Your projects will include greenâfields, brownâfields, and retrofits.
Our team is responsible for designing fulfillment centers, crossâdock facilities, specialty facilities (e.g., reverse logistics, hazmat) and ground and air transportation centers throughout North America and Europe. Projects will span templateâbased and designedâfromâscratch approaches. You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fastâpaced and often ambiguous environment.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, costâeffective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for suppliers on your projects. Handâoff completed designs to Ops Engineering for installation, commissioning, and launch. Support installation, commissioning, and launch activities to ensure successful deployment.
Basic Qualifications 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience Bachelorâs degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent Experience with design & innovation and research & development Experience in management of engineering design projects Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software Up to 20% travel required Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of specialty experience with progressive responsibility Masterâs degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field Knowledge of concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and highâspeed manufacturing Experience with designâinâsafety The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include signâon payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
