The firm focuses on the multifamily sector through core/value‑add acquisitions, ground‑up development, and preferred equity strategies.
The role is hybrid, with an expected in‑office presence of 3 days per week at our Scottsdale, AZ office. Occasional additional in‑office days may be necessary to support important projects, collaboration, or meetings. What You Will Be Doing The Senior Analyst / Associate is a real‑estate valuations and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) professional who will help value the company’s real‑estate assets quarterly and provide analytics on fund performance.
They will identify, quantify, and validate operating and strategic initiatives that contribute to the fund’s financial performance. This role supports financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, and valuation across fund and fund investments. Duties and Responsibilities Analyze property performance, market data, sales comparables, and other inputs to prepare gross property valuation recommendations on a quarterly basis and present recommendations to the valuation committee.
Calculate net asset value based on approved gross values by compiling inputs, following company methodologies, and ensuring accuracy with the fund accounting team. Coordinate the annual asset appraisal process and support appraisal review. Maintain complex real‑estate fund and investment models for cash flow and investment return forecasting, return attribution analysis, and alternative scenario evaluation.
Support financial performance oversight for each fund and portfolio investment through quarterly collection, validation, and monitoring of key operating, liquidity, investment return, valuation, and financial covenant metrics. Prepare and enhance recurring and ad‑hoc reporting packages for the management team and other stakeholders, delivering key insights and analytics. Support the Investor Relations team in preparing quarterly and annual fund investor reports and fund marketing and investor meeting materials.
Partner with Fund Accounting to manage fund liquidity for near‑term cash needs and monitor metrics to support financial covenant compliance. Provide analytical support for value‑add initiatives, ad‑hoc portfolio transactions, special projects, and cross‑functional requests. Drive continuous process improvement and analytical tool enhancements by utilizing advancing technology.
Develop finance and business presentations and related supporting materials. Source, analyze, and summarize relevant macroeconomic, capital markets, and real‑estate market research. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree required (finance, business management, or accounting preferred). CFA and CAIA certifications a plus. 3–4 + years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Institutional real‑estate and private equity experience a plus.Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Advanced Excel financial modeling skills; strong Word and PowerPoint proficiency. Familiarity with Yardi and Power BI/Tableau; responsible AI use in FP&A (with controls, compliance, and data governance) a plus. Superior analytical and risk assessment skills.
