Overview Our IT Application Development team is a dynamic group that thrives in fast‑paced environments while working on innovative projects that drive S&P Global’s technology solutions forward. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high‑quality code standards. Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the technical roadmap for innovative projects.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance in production environments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in the software development lifecycle. What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience; 8+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in Java.
Advanced Knowledge: Enterprise Java frameworks and in‑memory data stores; database technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle. Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency with version control systems and collaborative development tools like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, dynamic environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with containerization technologies. Knowledge of container orchestration platforms.
Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog. This role requires in‑office presence 2 times a week.
Compensation & Benefits Anticipated base salary range for US candidates: $120,456 to $203,380, based on location, experience, and skill set. Eligible for an annual incentive plan. Not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
