Software Development Engineer in Test - SDET

Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office) Work Timings: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM IST Team: Engineering Company: Krimatix Role Overview Krimatix is building a metadata-driven platform for industrial execution, inspection, and integrity workflows. Core platform behavior including UI rendering, validations, workflows, and business rules is dynamically generated using JSON configurations, schema-driven logic, and workflow engines . We are looking for a Senior SDET with strong automation engineering expertise who can build scalable, reliable, and high-signal automation systems across UI, API, and platform layers.

This is an automation-first engineering role , not a traditional manual QA position. You will work on systems where: UI is dynamically generated Workflows are configuration-driven Platform behavior changes through metadata and schema updates Your automation must validate not only code changes, but also configuration-driven behavior, workflow logic, schema evolution, and multi-tenant platform stability . Key Responsibilities Automation Engineering Design and develop scalable automation frameworks using TypeScript and Node.js Build robust UI and end-to-end automation using Playwright Implement reusable architecture patterns including: Fixtures Helpers and utilities Modular test abstractions Improve automation reliability by reducing: Flaky tests Timing issues Environment instability Platform & Workflow Validation Validate: Dynamic UI rendering Conditional logic and computed fields Workflow engines and branching behavior Feature flags and configuration-driven functionality Ensure schema correctness, version compatibility, and migration safety Validate RBAC and multi-tenant data isolation scenarios API & Integration Testing Build automated API validation for REST and/or GraphQL services Implement contract testing using Pact or equivalent frameworks Use mocking and service virtualization to isolate dependencies and improve test determinism Non-Functional Testing Build and execute: Performance and load tests Security-focused validation aligned with OWASP practices Accessibility checks for critical user journeys CI/CD Quality Ownership Integrate automation suites into Azure DevOps pipelines Implement release-blocking quality gates Publish actionable test reports and diagnostics Improve CI stability, execution speed, and signal quality Required Qualifications 6 years of experience in SDET / QA roles with strong focus on automation engineering Strong hands-on experience with: Playwright TypeScript / JavaScript API automation testing Proven experience: Building automation frameworks from scratch Improving automation reliability and reducing flaky tests Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills across UI, API, and backend layers Strongly Preferred Experience testing: Metadata-driven platforms Workflow engines Low-code or highly configurable systems Experience with: Pact / contract testing OpenAPI or schema validation k6, JMeter, or Locust OWASP ZAP axe-core Docker-based test environments Technology Stack UI & E2E: Playwright (TypeScript, Node.js) API Testing: Playwright API, Supertest Contract Testing: Pact Schema Validation: OpenAPI, AJV Performance Testing: k6 Security Testing: OWASP ZAP Accessibility: axe-core CI/CD: Azure DevOps, Docker, Git What Success Looks Like Automation is stable, scalable, and trusted by engineering teams Releases move with high confidence supported by strong automation coverage Metadata and configuration regressions are caught early in CI Test execution provides fast, reliable, and actionable feedback Production defect leakage reduces consistently over time Application Send your resume to: hr@krimatix.com Subject: Application – Senior SDET (Automation) Immediate joiners currently based in Hyderabad preferred
