This position will assist Project Managers, Project Field Leaders and Division Managers with all facets of ongoing projects in addition of maintaining a warehouse, tools and equipment. In addition, the Shop Foreman oversees material handling and inventory control, manages purchasing and vendor coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective material availability, and directs fleet operations and facility maintenance to support safe, efficient shop performance. Job Responsibilities Oversee receiving, inspection, and verification of inbound materials to ensure accuracy against purchase orders and project specifications Implement and maintain organized storage systems to maximize warehouse space utilization and improve material accessibility Manage shop equipment, maintenance schedules, and tooling to maximize operational efficiency and reduce downtime Willing to operate a forklift as well as other tools, equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures Supervise and appraise work of shop technicians Maintain Truck Fleet Ensure vehicles are properly stocked with tools, materials, and safety equipment to support field crews Manage vendor relationships for fleet maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend vehicle service life Maintain optimal inventory levels through demand planning, consumption tracking, and reorder point management Post Material from Inventory to Jobs Oversee purchase order creation, tracking, and reconciliation to ensure accurate documentation and cost control Collaborate with accounting to verify invoices, and support financial reporting accuracyCollaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Field Superintendents to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline shop processes and enhance productivity Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Five years in construction industry is preferred but not required Two yearsβ supervisory experience preferred but not required Have current CDL and or have the capacity to pass DOT Physical.
Fabrication experience is a plus Computer skills Mechanically inclined Possess a valid driver's license with a clean record, in accordance with Company policy Willing to pass a post-offer background check and drug test Working Conditions Moderate standing, walking, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Work inside and outside, around moving objects and with vehicles and machinery with moving parts.
