Senior Web Developer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Implement new software features based on user and business requirements Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software bugs and performance issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with mobile apps (iOS, iPadOS, Android) Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, readability, and best practices Optimize application performance and scalability Maintain clear, organized, and well-documented code Test and validate software functionality prior to release Participate in research and implementation of AI into the development process Contribute to planning and design discussions to improve product functionality and user experience Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to ongoing development projects when appropriate REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong experience developing dynamic, server-side web applications using PHP, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and modern PHP MVC frameworks Solid knowledge of semantic HTML and best practices for building clean, accessible, and responsive user interfaces Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex coding and performance issues efficiently and creatively Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, managing time effectively while driving tasks to completion Strong ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, contributing to group problem-solving and code reviews Broad understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, including schema design, queries, indexing, and optimization Clear verbal and written communication abilities, essential for articulating technical solutions, documenting code, and collaborating with technical and non-technical team members Solid experience performing peer code reviews EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software/web development 5–10 years of professional experience in web development, with a focus on building and maintaining dynamic, database-driven web applications PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements listed below represent the minimum standards that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this role successfully.
