Senior PLM Business Analyst II

Overview Rocket Lab is an end‑to‑end space company delivering launch services, spacecraft design and manufacturing, and payloads. This role is based at our global headquarters in Long Beach, CA. Responsibilities Coordinate cross‑functional engineering teams to monitor user activity and direct implementation of PLM system improvements.

Develop and architect new Teamcenter client and server customizations, and deploy new PLM features. Work with users to develop and update tool customizations to improve efficiency. Make design improvements to existing PLM processes and manage associated changes in Siemens NX CAD and related systems.

Evaluate Teamcenter and Siemens NX releases, diagnose system failures, and recommend remedial actions. Communicate with PLM vendors and internal developers to implement troubleshooting, upgrades, and customizations. Drive continuous improvements through strategies for efficient PLM integration across the company’s manufacturing cycle.

Provide operational support to users, manage user access, permissions, and licensing. Keep abreast of new versions, features, and modules and communicate updates to the user community. Develop workflows, ACLs, data model customizations, and solution designs for system integration.

Manage Teamcenter servers globally, perform upgrades and patching. Support and deliver training to new and existing engineering staff. Create and maintain documentation for PLM user support and proven concept‑to‑launch processes.

Qualifications 8+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (12+ years work experience). Experience with Teamcenter 4‑tier architecture, AWC architecture, and Teamcenter windows server. Experience managing servers, deployment center, upgrades, and scripting (PowerShell).

Experience with Teamcenter workflows, ACL, PLM XML administration, change process, user administration, style sheets, and BMIDE deployments. Experience with ERP/CAD integration. U.S. citizenship required (ITAR compliance).

Nice to Have Teamcenter ITK and services customization experience. Teamcenter certifications. Familiarity with other Teamcenter integrations.

Additional Requirements Close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to focus. Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, operate a computer keyboard, and communicate verbally and in writing. Physical ability to commute to buildings.

Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate noise levels. Compensation Base Pay Range (CA Only): $124,500 – $155,000 USD.
