Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and continuous improvement efforts for microelectronics product lines. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, throughput, and cost while applying Lean principles across production operations. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with R&D, quality, supply chain and operations to scale products from pilot to high-volume production and to drive technical solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.

Key Responsibilities Lead development, optimization and scale‑up of manufacturing processes for microelectronics and related products, ensuring robust, repeatable production. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to product and process designs to reduce cost and improve reliability. Drive yield improvement and root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, RCA, FMEA).

Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) to reduce waste and improve flow. Develop and maintain process control plans, SPC, and performance metrics to monitor and improve process capability. Design and execute experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis to validate process changes and new equipment.

Collaborate with equipment vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to select, qualify and commission production equipment and automation solutions. Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials; support operator training and troubleshooting. Lead cross‑functional project teams for new product introductions and continuous improvement projects, ensuring schedule, budget and technical targets are met.

Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians to build team capability and knowledge sharing. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred. 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in microelectronics, semiconductor, or high‑precision manufacturing environments. Proven experience applying Lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement tools; Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) preferred.

Strong background in process development, statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and root cause analysis. Hands‑on experience with equipment selection, qualification, automation and process control systems. Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Python, SQL) and CAD/technical drawing interpretation.

Excellent project management, communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Experience with quality systems (e.g., ISO, AS9100) and regulatory/compliance requirements is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and influence stakeholders to implement manufacturing improvements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
